nounou was born out of the desire to make a difference – for women, for families, for our children. Mothers still bear the majority of everyday responsibility: They care, organize, and provide. Often with a lot of love – but little support.
We believe that this inequality cannot continue.
With our organic, hand-cooked meals for children from 5 months to 12 years, we empower mothers, relieve the burden on families, and give children a healthy, strong foundation for life.

Our history
I'm Maxi – mother of two and founder of nounou. And before I founded the company, I was one thing above all: angry.
Angry at a system that expects everything from mothers but gives little in return. At supermarket shelves full of children's products that contain more marketing promises than nutritional value. And at the daily struggle between care work, career, and the desire to simply be a good mother.
So I stopped complaining and just did it.
With a 4-month-old baby in my arms, I opened Germany's first healthy baby and children's snack bar at the weekly market in 2021. In the midst of the pandemic, the empty kitchen of the Maritim Hotel became the first production kitchen, the first regular customers became a growing network—and "Poppeditzje" has become nounou.
nounou is my response to a structural imbalance—and a promise to all parents who give their best every day. We don't just cook organic meals in jars. We're building an infrastructure for true work-life balance, healthy nutrition, and a society where caring finally becomes visible.
